Linux and SDN Tech Lead (Israel)

We are looking for a Linux and SDN Tech Lead to join our RnD team!

In this position you will join our core engineering group and lead the design, development and maintenance of our overlay virtualization solution which includes:

  1. Overlay network solution (SDN)
  2. Overlay storage solution
  3. Hypervisor management agent

Must-have Requirements:

  • 6+ years of software development experience
  • Experience in software-defined networks
  • In depth knowledge of Linux operating system
  • Ability to explain complex concepts and designs to colleagues across disciplines
  • Ability to mentor and guide junior engineers

SaaS/Cloud Operations/Support Tier-3 Engineer (Israel)

Job description

  • Manage production operations backend functions
    • Evolve and maintain production Changes – Ravello software releases and Configuration changes
    • Troubleshooting of production incidents and problems
    • Own Ravello's service uptime
    • Evolve and maintain Ravello’s services Monitoring ecosystem and pro-actively fixing user's failures, by initiating contact of behind the scenes fixes
    • Manage the capacity and cloud resources used for Ravello’s operational and use and our customers use.
    • Implement Security solutions for production environment
    • Managing Public Clouds accounts which are the infrastructure for Ravello's service and the integrations to 3rd party and SaaS services (e.g. Billing, processing, CRM, etc.).
  • Next tier for Customers encounter issues with the Ravello service. Deep analysis for customers tickets, reproduce, provide work arounds and work with the next tier, R&D when required
  • Develop and adopt operative tools and services that support the production operations and customer support. For example: loggers, status-page, special monitors, intrusion detection tools, Event viewer and so on
  • Works closely with NOC as an escalation tier for customer support and for operative production cases. Leveraging the Tier-1 team, transferring knowledge and trainings to enhance expertise
  • Works closely with R&D and escalate to them customer support and operative production cases when required.
  • Manage the escalation process from field up to R&D. And feedback to customers about status and plans.
  • Enrich Ravello’s internal and external knowledge base
  • Processing business oriented demands from sales
  • The team is customer centric and is driven from technical and business objectives
  • As the next tier for Support And Operative cases – this employee is joining the effort of covering the 24x7 on-call duties
  • In special events, for example big customer’s event, such employee can be requested to work also on off-hours

We are looking for an Experienced QA Engineer to join our Dev team!

Job Description

  • Execute manual test suites for new Ravello features at the development phase, open bugs and improvements and "enforce" feature quality.
  • Devising detailed test documents for new Ravello features, to be implemented and integrated in Ravello's automation test suites.
  • Exploratory testing of new Ravello features and technologies that are running on top of Ravello's platform.
  • Reproduction of issues discovered by the field and transforming them into actionable bug reports.
  • Work closely with PM & RnD to understand new feature sets of the product and at times pass the knowledge to other functions in the company.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of QA work in a highly technical company
  • Deep understanding of QA methodology and flow
  • Ability to quickly self-learn new technologies and take the driver's seat on short and long term assignments.
  • Deep experience in at least one of the following fields:
    • Networking (L2/L3/L4+)
    • Storage
    • Virtualization (ESXi / KVM / Xen / Hyper-V)
    • Network security
  • Good understanding and working experience of the Linux and Windows operating systems.
  • Experience in writing test-plans and accompanying a feature from early stages all the way to customer usage
  • Graduate of a major university or technological unit in the IDF
  • Good communication and team work skills
  • Good understanding of complex systems, and good analysis/troubleshooting skills (e.g. using system logs)

Additional Skills (Advantages)

  • Experience working with Amazon Web Services (AWS) and/or Google Compute Platform (GCP) and/or Microsoft Azure

We are looking for a motivated student to join our Support organization!

This is a part-time position. The successful candidate will have an opportunity to influence and be an integral and critical part of the global Customer Support team. Great performance in this role may lead to a full time job opportunity!

Responsibilities

  • Lead the tier-1 and on-call efforts during shifts
  • Be the first contact of any support ticket from Ravello users
  • Provide troubleshooting support to remote end users
  • Maintains current knowledge and procedures within the support organization
  • Provide basic technical troubleshooting, i.e., receiving, assigning, escalating, resolving, tracking and reporting of customer technical issues
  • Be able to perform proper incident handling and reporting of customer issues

Job requirements

  • B.A/B.Sc. student at their 2nd year of studies (preferably computer related studies)
  • Technical background, familiarity with operating systems (Linux/Windows) - MUST
