SaaS/Cloud Operations Engineer (Israel)

Primary job responsibilities

  • Change and configuration management
  • Evolve and maintain Ravello’s services Monitoring ecosystem
  • Troubleshooting of production incidents and problems
  • Own Ravello's service uptime
  • Manage the capacity and cloud resources used for Ravello’s operational and use and our customers use.
  • Managing Public Clouds accounts which are the infrastructure for Ravello's service and the integrations to 3rd party and SaaS services (e.g. Billing, processing, CRM, etc.).
  • Works closely with Support Tier3, NOC and R&D, in addition to processing business oriented demands from sales.
  • The team is customer centric and is driven from technical and business objectives

Required Skills

  • Experience with Service/SaaS operations is a big advantage
  • Systemic view of complex systems and experience with large distributed systems
  • Linux knowledge (high level - must!)
  • Experience working with Amazon Web Services or other elastic environments - an advantage
  • Infrastructure knowledge mainly of networking and databases (rational and or big-data)
  • Willingness to work in a stressing customer-oriented 24x7 service environment, ability to work during irregular hours including on-call shifts during off-hours, weekends and holidays (on rare occasions)
  • Scripting/programming knowledge in at least one language ( Python Perl, shell scripts)
  • Proficient in configuring, and troubleshooting production services
  • Configuration and troubleshooting of network FW rules / vlans - an advantage

Senior Technical Marketing Engineer (Palo Alto/Israel)

The Senior Technical Marketing Engineer (TME) shall be a key member of the marketing team and will be the technical expert on Ravello products, technologies and positioning.

Primary job responsibilities

  • Design, architect and develop solutions for technical blogs and key technical content
  • Deploy and configure new virtual appliances and new solutions on Ravello based on market demand
  • Develop innovative assets, useful scripts and resources for internal, customer, and partner audiences to "self-navigate" through Ravello
  • Build and maintain technical product demo environments
  • Be a technical evangelist by speaking at conferences, community events and participating in discussions on the Internet
  • Maintain hands-on approach with key customer opportunities as-needed and use those experiences to inform the product and marketing teams as to customer needs and solutions.
  • Engage as a trusted subject matter expert within Ravello on key product strategy initiatives including product roadmaps, partnerships and marketing programs

Required skills

  • Deep technical understanding in data center technologies including virtualization, storage and networking, and/or public clouds
  • Experience with programming. Particularly with scripting such as Python, and using APIs
  • Outstanding communication skills and demonstrated ability in developing and delivering complex technical presentations.
  • Proven experience in design, development and implementation of technical papers and blogs

Senior Software Engineer - Networking (Israel)

In this position you will join our core engineering team and take a central role in the design, development and maintenance of our high performance overlay networking solution.

You will also have the opportunity to work on our storage solution, as well as our hypervisor management agent.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of extensive network solution/protocols development in Linux
  • Deep knowledge of L2 and L3 network protocols and understanding of relevant appliances
  • Experience with C/C++ on Linux
  • B.Sc/M.Sc from a major university or alumni of a technological unit in the IDF

Nice to haves

  • Experience with Python on Linux
  • Experience in visualization, cloud, SDN and new tunneling protocols such as VXLAN and NVGRE

Requirements

  • 3+ years of Java Programming
  • 3+ years of experience in implementing enterprise server side applications

We are looking for a Tier-3 Support Engineer to join our Operations team!

The team is dealing with complex challenges and thriving to deliver efficient top notch solutions for Ravello customers, working closely with the RnD team, reproducing issues from production environments and translating in to system bugs.

Our CS & QA group is composed of QA engineers, Tier-1 support agents and higher tier (2-3) support engineers.

Job description

  • Technical help for users that encounter issues with the Ravello service
  • Monitoring Ravello products system, and pro-actively fixing user's failures, by initiating contact of behind the scenes fixes
  • Testing specific new use cases that come from users in dev environment
  • Detecting points of failure in production, investigating and translating to RnD actions items. (prod bugs)
  • Follow-up on production issues, and notify users of fixes
  • Enrich Ravello’s internal and external knowledge base
  • Be the owner of Ravello’s production workload, proactively initiate a mitigation when needed and come up with ways to prevent or better detect for the future
  • Leveraging the Tier-1 team, transferring knowledge and trainings to enhance expertise
  • Leading and managing support related projects.

Job requirements

  • Strong technical troubleshooting and problem solving skills (At least 3 years of experience in related technical customer support role)
  • Strong log analysis skills and extensive experience in investigation of technical issues
  • Previous experience/knowledge in the areas of public cloud, virtualisation, networking, IT, IaaS, SaaS
  • High level of proficiency in various OSs and flavor (especially Linux as sys admin level and Windows)
  • Familiarity with SQL
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent communication skills
  • High English level written and verbal
  • Development experience – advantage
